Tell mom to give you some pure canned pumpkin when you get sloppy poos and it'll fix ya right up. And as for the grinder thing, it's really not necessary. Our mom gave up on it a long time ago. Shiloh gets his chicken quarters cut up into smaller pieces just cuz he likes them better, but Guinness can chew those babies like a pro. The only problem we've encounered is that most dogs don't seem to tolerate pork bone as well and beef bone is just for fun & teeth cleaning. Mom doesn't even give us as many veggies as she used too. If yer mom ever has a question, she can drop ours a line, kay?One Little Birdiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16253380537387486261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3492760603437552780.post-19815715661515083412007-08-26T18:53:00.000-04:002007-08-26T18:53:00.000-04:00Eeeeewwwwwe, Steve! Mom says that's how wolves feed their pups until they get big enough to eat raw meat, so maybe it should be part of the BARF puppy diet.
BARF should probably all be in caps cause it stands for Bones And Raw Food and our mom has been reading lots about how heating meat changes the properties and make it harder for huskivores to digest so she's gonna start slowly introducing more raw/less cooked foods into our diet, hold the hork please mom....Bamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17454361764227094041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3492760603437552780.post-72203811626932598472007-08-26T17:55:00.000-04:002007-08-26T17:55:00.000-04:00I don't know anything about the BARF diet, but one...I don't know anything about the BARF diet, but one time Wilbur barfed and I tried to eat it before Mom could clean it up. Does that count?

SteveSteve, Kat, & Wilburhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10949336961272700366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3492760603437552780.post-56985932849408430122007-08-26T13:51:00.000-04:002007-08-26T13:51:00.000-04:00To Ed,Actually, Rex isn't ours, he's a rescue that...To Ed,
Actually, Rex isn't ours, he's a rescue that was lost in PA, we were just helping to get the word out. Mom & Dad have been cooking for us constantly, but they've been mixing 1/2 homemade with Pedigree kibbles. The vet said since I'm going to be so big, she wanted me on a large breed puppy chow. After all of moms research though, she's decided on a diet that she thinks looks most balanced to her, so she's gonna start cutting back on the kibble, adding more fresh, and gradually raw meats and less rice until she gets us used to the diet she thinks will be best for us. She doesn't want to change things too quick though, and upset our tummies at sudden changes....she said she's gonna try to find some of the ingredients that seem to be recommended with most of the diets she saw, kelp, fish oil and flaxseed, etc. She said she doesn't remember seeing any of that stuff in the grocery store, but then she never looked for it before.....Bamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17454361764227094041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3492760603437552780.post-54297711148811491922007-08-26T11:40:00.000-04:002007-08-26T11:40:00.000-04:00Hi this is Ed Noon from Barfworld. The results will prove themself.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3492760603437552780.post-85365377913533570462007-08-26T11:18:00.000-04:002007-08-26T11:18:00.000-04:00Hey Bamma, my mom cooks all our food because I got...Hey Bamma, my mom cooks all our food because I got sick from a bad batch of that S.D. brand. It messed up my tummy so that I can't digest the dry dog food. She's tried different dry foods, and the end result is awful for me, so I only get what my mom cooks.

She gets ground turkey breast and makes us this turkey meat loaf and we get brown rice or pasta with peas and carrots (the veggies she puts in the blender). We also get baby carrots for treats, and we love yellow squash (she slicens that and puts cheese on it and puts it in the broiler).

Oh and we love yogurt with bannans. Yumm. Hope this helps

MayaMarieThe Husky in the Windowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01349586466158263602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3492760603437552780.post-43383685160546913212007-08-26T07:34:00.000-04:002007-08-26T07:34:00.000-04:00So pleased Rex was found ok. These people must have some problems to abuse animals that never ask for anything or do any harm.
