Howwwwrrrooooo, Everyhusky,
I can't help myself, I just have to tell you all about our day! It actually started last night, when mom took all our harnesses into her special, personal bathroom, and left them in there. Duhhhh, like we can't figure out something us up? Hello! Just cause we're furry doesn't make us stupid!
So this morning, as we're wandering in and out of the bedroom, she'd call us 1x1 into her bathroom, and put our (color coded) harnesses on.
After everyone was dressed, she went and put clothes on herself. Stupid humom put on black pants......) but before she even got back out into the front room, Chili had stripped himself of his harness using the "chew-thru" method, and was working in Crackers, so he had to used just his leash as a slip/choke collar.
Finally, we all got out the door and into the car, just to travel the few blocks to the V.E.T place. Mom and Dad made us all wander around outside until they were ready for us, they said the people in the waiting room and the poor vet techs definitely weren't ready for us....."wait'll they get a load of us" seemed to be the most popular phrase with our humans....
Mikki had a nasty bug bite over her right eye, and the vet gave her pills, a shot, and some ointment.
Next was my turn, my next set of puppy shots and a microchip. I don't know exactly what that is, but that was one BIG nasty needle!! I squeeled like a baby and made everyone feel really sorry for me! Mom said she's sorry, but I'll only have to get that shot one time, and it will help me get back home if I ever get lost, so I guess I'll forgive her, this time....
I turned 12 weeks old on Monday, and I weigh 28+ lbs, mom, dad & the doc all said I'm gonna be a REALLY big girl, but I could have told them that, I have no intention of going through life with these oversized feet and ears so I'm just gonna have to grow into them, however long it takes...besides, how can I rule the pack if I can't use my superior strength and size to intimidate them?
Cracker was there for his annual check up and shots, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to bite the doc for trying to make time with MY boyfriend. He was all gushy, and oohed and aahed over what a gorgeous boy dog he is. Well, duh! Did you think I was going to pick a loser?
Finally, Chili was mostly there for moral support, (and to make sure he didn't eat all the walls in the laundry room if he was left behind alone), but they did make him get on the scale, and he's back up to 53 lbs. That might not seem like much, but he's kinda short, and doc says he really shouldn't be more than 45 lbs at the most. He was 46 at his last weigh-in, down 8 lbs from his previous 54, so time to kick his diet back into high gear. No wonder he finds big boned fluffy girls so cute! Mom says they're gonna have to keep a closer eye on him to make sure he's not cleaning out the rest of our leftovers after his bowl is empty.
Finally we got out of there, and back home, and mom took our clothes off before Chili could destroy them, and we thought that was the end of events for the day, but then she got out the slicker brush......
Seems her friend she's going to see in Chicago has master named Sheba, and she's been great friends with Chili and Cracker since they were little. Seems when the skinslaves get together, they usually travel by car, which means the masters get to see each other and catch up. Well...since she's flying in an airplane this time, we all have to stay home, so even though they weren't happy about it, Chili and Cracker insisted that she take messages to Sheba for them. She brushed out the smell spot on each of our tails, to get as much info as possible (have we got her trained right, or what?), and placed each tuft of fluff into a plastic baggie to take with her. Mik's not shedding at all right now, so she only got about 4 hairs from her, but she said it will have to do, especially since Mikki's never even met Sheba except by huskytales from the boys.
Mom said the TSA officials will probably want to place her in a rubber room for smuggling dog hair on the airplane, but I'm sure their dogs will explain it to them.....
Mom won't type for me anymore tonight, she says if she doesn't get to bed soon she won't make her flight, so guess I have to go for now, but I'll talk to you all again soon.
PSA announcement:
Did you go pledge all your humans $$ to Meeshka's heroic efforts this weekend? Time's running out, and you don't want to make me mad......they say I'm going to be a horse! That's okay with me as long as I get to keep my claws and teeth.....GGGGRRRRRRRRR. Go Pledge!
manykisses,
Bama
