Finally.......We're Back!!!

Whooohooo, I didn't think we were ever going to make it back online. Mom & Dad have been monitoring from remote locations when they could, and tried to remember to tell us when we got messages from all our new friends, but they're old, and their minds are going....if they lived in dog years, they'd already be dead, so they have to be excused for their lapses, I guess....Both of their bosses frown on blogging from work, and even when Dad is in AlaBAMA (I love that!), he says he's there to help take care of his mom, not play on the computer. It took a lot of claws, bites, and whines to get him to leave that last message.

We're so far behind, it'll probably take us a while to catch up, and go visit all our new friends on their blogs, but I promise we'll get there, or mom's legs will look like hamburger! I'm gonna be working on Dad, too. He needs to get some new pictures of me on our new 'puter, cause I sure don't look like that sweet little lamb anymore. I'm only about 1/2 inch shorter than Mikki now, (I'm 14 weeks, she's 14 months), and she probably only outweighs me by 10 lbs or so. Mom says if weeds grew as fast as I am, you wouldn't be able to see our house! They are now operating under the assumption that I'm husky mixed with giraffe, (with rabbit ears, and great dane feet thrown in for good measure)......
The rest of the pack better look out, I'll be twice as big as all of them by the time I'm 6 months, then I'll really be able to start enforcing my will on everyone, if they don't like it I'll just sit on 'em.

There hasn't been much going on around here lately, mom is back to work after a short disability leave, so we're back to our old routine of spending most of the day in the laundry room. I have a crate in there (to protect me when I was littler than everyone else), and the rest of the pack has the rest of the room. I liked it better while mom was home all day and we could make her take us outside every 15 minutes, but it's not toooooo bad, Dad says his work is only 5 minutes from home, and he comes home every day for lunch, and to take us outside, and then we make him bribe us with tasty bites of hot dog to get us back into our laundry room for the afternoon. After reading one of Meeshka's blogs I made mom go get us each a Kong, and tasty stuff to put in them, so at least now we have nourishment to help us survive all those torturous hours in confinement! (Did you feel the "OH, Woe is me" I heap on the human slaves every time they come home??? I hope so, I've been working really hard at perfecting my techniques!)

Our Boogie boy has been over the last 2 weekends in a row, so that's helped get through the puter illness, too. We hadn't seen him in a few weeks while mom was in Chicago, & dad's been back and forth to AlaBAMA, so we REALLY missed him, it's so much fun around here when we have our boy to play with!

Mom said she had a great time at the Eric Clapton Crossroads Guitar Festival in Chicago, and that she got to listen to lots of great music, by lots of great Blues players, but I'll never understand how she could fly halfway across the country to hear music, when we sing so beautifully for free every night in our own kitchen. Humans are SO weird! At least she logged on for me and helped keep Meeshka company for the final stretch of the blogathon, I was gonna push her out of the bed when she got home if she hadn't! Now she's trying to reach the Harnessed to Hope folks to honor our pledge, when the old 'puter died she lost all of her info to paypal, (and everything else she had stored for the last 6 years) and she can't log in to send her money. Not only that but she said someone stole her identity and has been buying lots of stupid stuff with her plastic cards, so now she's scared to transmit sensitive info online, even on "secure" sites. (If I find the jerk that's trying to be my mom, I'm gonna sick the whole pack on him!!! It won't be pretty!!!) I guess I'll have to chew on her ankles until she sends them an old fashioned check by snailmail, cause she said she got caught by an automated phone system when she called. I don't know what that means, but I wish she could get one of the human slaves at HTHNBR to call her back, she promised me she would think about buying us one of their Pretty Sled Dogs DVD's.

Our electronics seem to be trying to start their own HULA rebellion, (I guess that would be EULA?), our DVR mysteriously sent our Iditarod, Breed all About it- husky edition, and wolf programs to the other side of the Rainbow Bridge or something, all of our favorite programs just disappeared, about the same time our old 'puter died. I'm warning everyone now, watch those sneaky 'tronics, they're out to get us!

Gotta go, dinner's ready. I promise to keep this updated now that we're back, and I'm looking forward to visiting all our new friends sites. Until then, playbows and manykisses,
Love,
Bama

We're glad your humans are back and that you are all together again. :) It sounds like you are growing like a weed! Whew!

We've had our plastic cards be used by strangers before too (because we order things online). It is definitely a pain.

Amici got that harness/seatbelt at PETCO (http://www.petco.com/product/9432/Four-Paws-Safety-Seat-Vest-Harnesses.aspx). The seatbelt part didn't work too well when he was a puppy...(he managed to slide right out of it in the vehicle)(However, since he has grown he can't manage to slide out it anymore in the vehicle.) but it has always been great on walks.

that's stinky that someone is pretending to be your mom! As if anyone could be the awesome person she is. We'll help ya claw them up when you find them, 'kay? But we are glad that you're back!

Wow, our dad's been traveling back and forth to Mississippi for work...right next door to bama. Our stupid DVR died too. What is it with these electronics and the new notebook computer mom and dad ordered for me still has not arrived. hmmmph!
